As I finished up my second class, and continued to work on my special techniques, I began to take a fondant class.  Fondant is where the icing comes in a ball (kind of like play-doh) and is rolled out and placed over the cake and then fitted to the cake.  It was a much tougher technique than I expected, but I continued to work away at it and today I find it easier than butter cream icing.  More and more people started ordering cakes from me, and I even started getting order from strangers.  It was a thriller experience to know that people actually wanted my cakes!  Here are a couple of my first fondant cakes!

  1. These cakes look amazing! Looking at your previous posts you have certainly made a huge improvement in your cake decorating abilities. If they taste half as good as they look then I would be very interested in your prices for a custom cake
